Today was the day of my sister's MAD SCIENTIST birthday party. Thank you to my bff and bf and his brother for coming early to help out, without them I would have been run off my feet. Some of the fancy events from the day were the food and experiments. Look at the Frankenstein cups my friend Cc spent almost an hour filling, its just green coloured custard and chopped oreos for the brains. HOW CLEVER RIGHT? LOL but I found it on a site, so thank you so much to who ever came up with the idea. Also check out the cookies we made the day before, they are smart cookies.... GET IT? SMART COOKIES!!! hehehehehe. And and and check out the Red Velvet Volcano cupcakes, they were quite popular :D I'm very happy about it but next time I think i shouldn't put them in the fridge as it tends to dry stuff out, ma bad.
The experiments we held during the day included:
- Balloon Blowup: by using a bottle to make a mixture of different kitchen ingredients, oxygen was created that blew up the balloon
- Vinegar Volcanoes: pairs of kids made little mini volcanoes in bottles by a mixture of vinegar and bicarb
- Elephants Toothpaste: A mixture of funky chemicals to make an extremely messy overload of foam
- Slime: like I did at uni open days we mixed PVA glue, Borax and yeast, along with some food colouring some freaky slime CAME ALIVEEEE
- Blast Off: Vinegar filled canisters mixed with chemicals pasted on their lids when overturned and shot up like rockets, this experiment never got boring even after the millions of times we did it

Finally we had cake which was made by Cc and me with fancy piping on the top if I may say so myself. Featured on the top was E=MC^2, a brain, a test tube, a beaker and an atom, how inventive right? Also I saw on tumblr, alot of people made these bunting topper things for the cake so I went overboard and made three LOL spelling out, Happy Bday Amber :)
Overall the day was a stressful success, all the kids had fun and us grown ups were left with the cleaning up, thanks kids <3
